PMAY(U) 10.0

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has been implementing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) PMAY (U) to address the housing shortage in urban areas of the country. The larger goal of this initiative is to achieve "Housing for All by 2022." To ensure the effective implementation of the PMAY (U) Mission, the Ministry regularly monitors key indicators of the program.

The objective of the mobile application is to allow beneficiaries of PMAY (Urban) from all Mission Component to:

1. Capture and upload at least 2 high-resolution photographs (at least 300 dpi) of completed houses along with the beneficiary's family.
2. Capture and upload 2 selfies of the beneficiary with their house.
3. Capture and upload a video clip (30-60 seconds) showcasing the success story of beneficiaries in front of their houses, featuring the PMAY (U) logo.

The main purpose of this photo and video bank is to provide testimonials from beneficiaries, highlighting their transformative experiences after moving into a pucca house under PMAY (U). This may include aspects such as dignified living, availability of basic amenities (water, electricity, kitchen, toilet, etc.), increased self-esteem, a sense of pride and dignity, improved social status, safety and security for their family, and a protected environment for the girl child. It can also contribute to the education of children, especially girls.
